I’m Suzanne LaFrance,
and I’m ready to get to work.

I’m running for mayor to bring a nonpartisan, problem-solving culture back to City Hall. It’s time to put an end to the scandals, lawsuits, and financial mismanagement. There’s a lot to do to get Anchorage back on track, but I’m ready to get to work.

I’m committed to fixing the mess in the Mayor’s Office, prioritizing public safety, and working together to solve our tough problems – from a real plan on homelessness to jumpstarting our economy.

I’m a mom of three and lifelong Alaskan. I bring 25 years of experience in the private sector, balancing budgets and managing people.

I’m proudly endorsed by our local police, fire, educators, business owners, and snow plow operators. I’m also proud to be supported by residents across the political spectrum – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.

It’s going to take a team effort to turn things around here in Anchorage. I hope to earn your vote in the May 14 election.

I’m running to…

Fix the mess at City Hall

It all starts with the basics. I’ll make sure our local government is fully staffed and fully operational. I’ll put an end to the expensive scandals and lawsuits, and I’ll respect the tax cap, so that you’re getting better value for your tax dollar.

Make our streets and trails safer

Some of our city’s biggest problems are more visible than ever. We need to staff up our police department, have a coordinated plan for homelessness, and get the streets plowed, so that Anchorage is safer for everyone.

Make Anchorage a better place to live

We’ve got a lot of work to do to make Anchorage a place people want to live and can afford to live. That means building more housing units, ensuring our schools are well-funded, and investing in our local businesses, and growing our local economy.
