Anchorage Democrats Endorse Suzanne LaFrance for Mayor

Anchorage, AK: Today the Anchorage Democrats announced that they have endorsed Suzanne LaFrance’s campaign for mayor.

“I’m proud of this endorsement, and proud of the range of endorsements our campaign has received,” said LaFrance. “I’m ready to earn the votes of all Anchorage residents, with a vision for a better community and better leadership to deliver on that vision.”

“At the end of the day, being a Democrat isn’t about party labels – it’s about our values and our actions,” said Eric Croft, Democrat and former state legislator and Assembly member. “Suzanne LaFrance is ready to fix our broken government and deliver a safe, affordable, thriving Anchorage for everyone who lives here. She earned this endorsement.

The endorsement joins a growing list of endorsements LaFrance has received from key organizations, including the over 15 labor organizations, the Anchorage Education Association.

“I’m proud to support the candidate who has the support of local organizations working to invest in our schools, protect our environment, and ensure good local jobs,” said Democrat and former state legislator Ivy Spohnholz. 

“I’m ready to build on the momentum and earn the votes,” said LaFrance.
