Suzanne LaFrance for Mayor

Anchorage, AK: Today, Suzanne LaFrance’s campaign for mayor announced they have already raised more than $200,000 in campaign funds. This total marks an important milestone as the campaign continues to build momentum heading into the new year.

“Based on what other recent mayoral campaigns raised by this point, we set an initial goal to bring in $100,000 by the end of November,” said Campaign Chair Eric Croft. “Suzanne has more than doubled that goal.”

More than 700 individual donors have contributed to the campaign so far.

”When you have the support of 700 individual donors this early in the race, not to mention major endorsements from groups like the Anchorage Central Labor Council, Anchorage Education Association, and local police and fire, the message is clear: People are ready for new leadership, and they’re ready for Suzanne LaFrance,” said Campaign Manager Anna Hutchinson.

“I don’t take for granted that people are choosing to invest in this campaign,” said LaFrance. “Each of these donations is an investment in a different future for Anchorage, one with a competent local government and a safe, welcoming community that residents can be proud to call home.”

“Winning an election takes a team of voters, donors, and volunteers. I’m incredibly proud of the team and the momentum we’re building on this campaign.”
